Coventry MotoFest 2014
It’s a legend around the world, amazing the motorist of the day with it’s combination of car showroom, restaurant, filling station and servicing area right on the edge of the new arterial route, the North Circular. It was bombed the day after the Coventry Blitz during World War 2, and after being rebuilt eventually became a home for motorcyclists and fans of rock music, and it even featured in a film in 1963. Now it’s a landmark destination for petrol heads, and it’s coming to MotoFest!
Yes, it’s the Ace Cafe London and we at Coventry MotoFest are thrilled that Mark and George, the men who have devoted themselves to keeping the Ace alive, want to be a part of our inaugural event.
They have organised a pop-up Rockers Cafe which will be situated outside Coventry Transport Museum in Millenium Place on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a ride and drive-out from the Ace Cafe, just off the North Circular in London, all the way to MotoFest on Sunday 1st June starting at 8am.
The route will be as follows:
- East along A406 North Circular Road to Junction 1, M1
- North along M1 to Junction 17, M45
- West along M45 to A45 West
- along A45 to Coventry(s) City Centre
- and to then follow events signage and marshal direction.
Vehicles leaving the Ace at 8am first travel to, and regroup/meet at Watford Gap northbound M1 services, located between J16 & J17 M1.
