Coventry MotoFest 2016
The Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC) is to run a range of classic vehicles on the Coventry Motofest ring road circuit as part of a major presence at the event for the British luxury brand.
A range of vehicles including a DBS, a DB9, a V8 Vantage, Vanquish, GT12 and a couple of pre-war cars will be provided by the AMOC as they take part in demonstration laps on the ring road circuit.
The AMOC members will run their cars in two Aston Martin themed segments on the long track ring road circuit programme, on both the Saturday and Sunday of the festival weekend.
Following on from the AMOC segment of the programme, the Aston Martin Vulcan – a £1.8m supercar and the British luxury brand’s most intense and exhilarating creation to date – will make a headline appearance at Coventry Motofest.
The exquisite 800-plus bhp, all-carbon fibre Aston Martin Vulcan will run on the Coventry Motofest ring road circuit in its first ever appearance on a UK public road circuit.
It will perform demonstration display laps on the ring road circuit, driven by Scottish professional race driver Peter Dumbreck, who has competed in the Le Mans 24 Hour race, Touring Car Championship and SuperGT events.
The final part of an triple treat for motoring fans from Aston Martin, will see a V8 Vantage, a DB9, a V12 Vantage and a Vanquish on static display at the Greyfriars Green area of the event to mark the opening of the new Aston Martin dealership in Solihull, Birmingham.

“They will help set the scene for a fantastic Aston Martin themed section of the show, which will culminate in the arrival of the Vulcan as it takes its first run in the UK on a public road circuit.”

The Aston Martin Owner’s Club is one of the oldest one-make car enthusiast clubs in the world, having been in existence for over 80 years.
It has a many representations of the club across the world with thriving sections in Germany, Netherlands and the USA.
The Aston Martin Owners Club in the UK puts on some five race meetings a year, featuring at least one hill climb and three sprints.
