Motofest Coventry’s new partnership with marketing agency WAA Chosen has hit the target immediately after they helped enlist motors loving darts ace James Wade to show his support for the festival.
WAA Chosen are Motofest Coventry’s newest partner organisation and to mark the working arrangement, the Sutton Coldfield based agency helped match up the UK’s leading urban motorsports festival with one of the world’s top ten darts players.
James Wade displayed his support for Motofest Coventry by wearing the festival’s logo on his tournament shirt during the recent Unibet Masters darts championship, based in Milton Keynes and broadcast on ITV 4.
The James Wade and Motofest Coventry collaboration came as a result of the close working partnership WAA Chosen has with the sport of darts – with the agency greasing the wheels to ensure “The Machine” clicked into top gear with his endorsement of Motofest Coventry.
It’s the first in a number of initiatives, creative collaborations and marketing support, including PR services, that WAA Chosen will deliver in partnership with Motofest Coventry for 2018, the event’s fifth anniversary year.
James Noble, Motofest Coventry Festival Director, said: “We are excited to be working in partnership with WAA Chosen, a marketing agency with a creative and innovative approach and a strong connection, through its client base, to the automotive industry.
“The James Wade collaboration was a great way to begin the partnership with WAA Chosen. “James Wade showing his support for Motofest Coventry in a national televised darts tournament is further evidence of how far the festival has come and the profile it now has.
“We look forward to working on further projects with WAA Chosen on the run up to and during Motofest, which I am sure will continue to deliver fantastic results for both parties involved.”
Andy Wilson, WAA Chosen CEO, said: “We are delighted to have official partnership status with Motofest Coventry and working with them will further strengthen our automotive industry client base offering.
“For our first partnership project we were able to introduce Motofest Coventry to James Wade, which proved to be a good fit, resulting in James showing his support for the festival by wearing the Motofest Coventry logo on his tournament shirt.
“We look forward to working on further successful collaborations with Motofest Coventry and helping them evolve their brand as one of the largest motorsports festivals in the UK.”
WAA Chosen’s automotive PR team were involved recently in a press launch with Motofest Coventry to announce plans to stage time trialing at this year’s event.
The approval to stage time trialing at Motofest Coventry 2018 gave the go-ahead for the return of competitive motorsport to a UK city centre circuit for the first time in almost 30 years.
Motofest Coventry is a two-day festival dedicated to the city’s motoring heritage, which this year takes place on Saturday 2 June and Sunday 3 June.
There will be a range of automotive activities taking place from pop-up and demonstration events to static displays and fringe events at Motofest Coventry, now the largest free urban motorsport festival in the UK.
