Coventry MotoFest 2016
Coventry Motofest visitor Stuart Sumner enjoyed a truck-tastic day out this weekend after winning a passenger ride in one of the racing trucks taking part on the ring road circuit,
Coventry resident Stuart, who is the vice-chairman of the Coventry Diecast Collectors club, swapped mini models for a seat in one of 1000bhp, 5 tonne heavyweights of motorsport as part of his Motofest competition winner’s prize.
Stuart, who works for Coventry based company Manor Coatings, said: “The passenger ride in the racing truck was an amazing experience.
“It was worth the couple of minutes it took me to enter the competition for the incredible run I had round the track.
“The acceleration on the trucks are incredible, I never thought they could be that quick or so agile around the corners and it was just overall a fantastic thing to do.”
Stuart won one of the top prizes of a passenger ride on the ring road circuit as part of the new Coventry Motofest competition, in which prizes also included tickets to Donington Park’s Racing Trucks championship and a case of Byatts Brewery’s bespoke Motofest Multigrade Ale.
