4:30pm – The Session
The Session are a band from Coventry in England. The band evolved through their passion for songwriting and love of music. For a number of years the band’s members had been jamming together and writing songs. These sessions would usually occur in the wee small hours after the pubs had closed. These sessions had built up a substantial catalogue of songs so the band was formed and the songs were taken out of the living room to a wider audience. The bands songs capture their experiences of life and heartfelt statements and messages are weaved into the songs. The band has gigged extensively since the early days and the catalogue of songs continues to grow. With seven members The Session draw their influences from many genres of music, including Soul and Funk through to Folk and Indie Rock. They have managed to capture what we hope is found to be a unique and original sound with the acoustic guitar still remaining an integral part of the band’s sound.
