CycleFest at MotoFest
We are delighted to work with our friends at Coventry City Council to bring you CycleFest at MotoFest on Saturday day and evening, free family event which you won’t want to miss.
During the Saturday of MotoFest weekend, join us for our Cycling Expo with Go Ride skills course, e bikes and e cargo bikes, cycling activities including pedal your own smoothie and get your bicycle a health check with Dr Bike.
As we move into the evening, the MotoFest Sprint Circuit on the Coventry Ring Road will be opened up for you to ride your bicycle in a safe environment. The 3.7km circuit becomes a family friendly cycling space for a twilight ride.
This is a leisure event aimed at families, so children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The 3.7km Circuit includes uphills, downhills and turns, including chicanes, so may not be suitable for everyone.
The recommended minimum age for riders is 5 years old, but adults wishing to bring along children under 5 may do so providing they are secured in a child seat, trailer or cargo bike. Some cargo bikes with seats for 2 small children will be available to hire at the event.
Riders are gathering on Greyfriars Green (by Coventry Train Station) from 6.30pm.
The Sprint Circuit will open for riders at 7.30pm and we don’t encourage you to begin queue much before. There will be plenty of live music and family friendly activities to get involved with before and during the ride.
There is no cost to come along! CycleFest at MotoFest is a free family event for you to enjoy in the heart of Coventry.
It’s completely free to ride your own bicycle on the course. If you choose to hire an adults bicycle from West Midlands Cycle Hire or a Family Cargo Trike* then there will be a hire charge.
*The Nihola Cargo Trike has room for 1 rider and then space for up to 2 children under 7 to sit in the front or space for one adult or child and a car seat or carry cot.
