MotoFest in partnership with E.ON Drive is getting powered up for Ride-In return at 2022 event
It will be two wheels leading the charge at this year’s MotoFest in partnership with E.ON Drive, with the traditional ride in from the beautiful Draycote Water to the main Sprint Circuit again providing the curtain raiser for the festival.
As with 2021 and 2019, it will be the motorcycles taking the lead with organisers hoping to attract over 500 classic and modern two wheeled machines to kickstart the weekend’s activities.
Riders are invited to join organisers on Saturday 10th September at Draycote Water, Rugby from 7.30am for a picture-perfect ride into Coventry.
E.ON Drive is the lead brand partner for MotoFest Coventry in 2022. E.ON Drive is part of energy supply and solutions provider E.ON and provides an end to end electric vehicle charging service for customers.
As well as the Ride-In, there will be dynamic displays from an array of ex-competition and sports motorcycles on the unique City Centre Sprint Circuit on both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September. For the first time, electric motorcycles will be showcased at the event, including those developed and built in Coventry by the Maeving electric motorcycle company.
Alongside the two wheeled machinery hitting full throttle on the circuit, MotoFest in partnership with E.ON Drive, will also host a dedicated Motorcycle Village. The new Motorcycle Village, situated in Greyfriars Green, will include static motorcycle displays, individuals and club displays and the MotoFest Classic and Custom Motorcycle Show – with trophies awarded across a number of categories.
James Noble, MotoFest Coventry Festival Director, said: “The motorcycle element of the festival programme just gets bigger and better each year and for this year’s event we have another incredible line-up of two wheeled action.
“As well as the regular mix of ex-race and competition motorcycles, classic and vintage machinery, visitors can see the supercharged future of two wheeled machinery with electric motorcycles at MotoFest in partnership with E.ON Drive, appearing for the first time on the E.ON Drive stand.
“It will also be great to see the Ride-In return to the Sprint Circuit. We hope to have hundreds of motorcycles joining us on the ride in from Draycote Water, for what promises to be a spectacular start to the weekend’s activities.
“It’s all revving up to be another incredible event and we look forward to again going full throttle with our two wheeled action at the festival.”
Mark Daniels, Director of E.ON Drive, said: “Engaging people in the importance of shifting to lower carbon motoring depends on us making understood the benefits to drivers and the planet.
“To really encourage the adoption of electric vehicles will also require a wide range of available models and makes to fit people’s varied budgets and lifestyles, and this includes two-wheeled vehicles as an option too.
“Having electric motorcycles on our stand at Motofest Coventry helps us to showcase the increasing choice available to consumers as they play their part in the UK’s journey to net-zero.”
