
CV Folk Stage
You’ll find the stage in the Upper Precinct, almost adjacent to Broadgate, providing a lively and varied programme of music. Expect anything from unaccompanied harmonies to fiery folk-rock, and from foot-tapping trad tune sets to inspired and expressive singer-songwriting, performed on acoustic and electric instruments and expressive vocals by top notch acts from across the CV postcode area.

- MC – Dave Fry
A fine singer and 12-string guitarist in his own right, Dave is a popular and well-known performer on the local folk circuit and is one of the resident acts of the Warwick Folk Club. He appears this weekend as performer and experienced MC. - 12:30 – Urban Fox
Coventry-based trio, Nigel Ward, Allan Dawson and Louisa Dowden are all skilled multi-instrumentalists playing up-tempo songs and tunes with harmonies and distinctive arrangements often featuring twin fiddles. - 13:15 – Paul Gibson
Talented writer and performer of some powerful and catchy songs, Paul is based near Leamington and specialises in Americana, folk and country. His new single Travelling Days and latest EP Chasing Sunsets are out now. - 13:55 – Poachers Pocket
From North East Warwickshire, Campbell Perry, Colin Squire, and Carole Gillespie playing a repertoire that ranges from UK traditional to Americana to self-penned, all performed with expertise and good humour. - 14:35 – The Stationary Wilburys
Formed only a year ago but already in demand as club guests and festival acts with their blend of American trad, blues, folk and popular music. Guitarists John Kearney and Paul Moore, and harmonica-player Jon Harrington provide the musical backdrop for superb vocals from Flossy McDougal. - 15:25 – KC Jones
Nuneaton-based husband-and-wife duo, Colin and Karen are noted for their beautifully written songs, powerful vocals and warm harmonies. They’ve just released their critically acclaimed debut album Roots. - 16:15 – Keith Donnelly and Lauren South
Songwriter and madcap comedian, Keith Donnelly, teams up with exciting new voice, Lauren South. The recently formed duo focuses on Keith’s superb guitarwork and Lauren’s stunning vocals, plus her amazing violin, guitar and Shruti box playing.

Writer and singer of excellent songs and now resident artist at Leamington Folk Club, Andi will compere Sunday’s show which includes a set of his own material, performed with panache, quirky humour and great rapport. - 12:00 – Firedaze
Leamington based duo Steff and String share a passion for rock, folk and roots music. They love performing original folk-rock that is contemporary, relevant and above all fun – live music that you can dance to and enjoy singing along to. - 12:50 – Thrup’nny Bits
Talented 3-part harmony singers, Barbara and Gareth Wyatt and Des Patalong perform unaccompanied in many styles – traditional songs that go back centuries to more recently written material that includes parodies, music hall and comic songs. - 13:25 – Andi Wolf

Katherine Fear, Anya Faye and Charlie Adams sing and play traditional and self-penned songs with passion, humour and harmony and are captivating audiences across the country. Katherine’s folk opera The Undoing of Polly Button, featuring the trio alongside other leading folk acts has also won wide acclaim since it was premiered last year in Nuneaton’s Abbey Theatre. - 15:10 – Kevin Dempsey
Coventry’s veteran singer, songwriter and guitar virtuoso, Kevin is one of the most sought-after musicians on the UK folk scene and beyond. Founder member of the legendary Dando Shaft, he has played and recorded with such leading names as Peter Knight, Whippersnapper, Pentangle’s Jacqui McShee and the late Dave Swarbrick. - 16:05 – The Redhills
Warwickshire’s powerful folk-rock quintet combines acoustic and electric instruments, with driving percussion and sheer energy. Their repertoire includes traditional songs, dub reggae, thrash Irish and lashings of double-speed fiddly diddly.
