ACCESSIBILITY AT MOTOFEST
MotoFest has always been a festival for everyone to enjoy and we have tried to develop our accessibility at the festival year on year.
In 2022, we ran our first Accessibility Focus Group, which was really insightful to figuring out what we have been able to do well and the areas we can improve. We have listened and we hope you find this page and the following information useful to help you have a stress free visit to MotoFest.
Getting around MotoFest
MotoFest is based in the city centre of Coventry, which has great accessible facilities. This has helped us to create an event with full step free access with ramps or alternative routes where necessary.
Please note, that around the historic quarters by Coventry Cathedral there are quite a few cobles. Step free access is available via Cuckoo Lane, by the Slug and Lettuce to Coventry Concours, within the Cathedral Ruins.
As the event uses the city centre, many areas which aren’t usually used by the public will be used such as closed roads. If you want to get a head start on the layout of the event site, please have a look at the Event Guide which will be uploaded as soon as it’s ready.
Also, check out our ‘Plan your Weekend‘ page to see more about food, drink and activities happening over the weekend and travelling to MotoFest.
Need help at the event
The MotoFest team are all volunteers and give up hours to support the planning and delivery of the event. They will be dotted throughout the event site either in blue hi vis or our Ambassadors in red tops and will be available to help and support you throughout your visit.
Alternatively, if you would like some support you can contact via our social media and the team will reply as soon as they can.
Accessible Viewing
After feedback in previous years, we have designated two viewing areas for wheelchairs users and others for viewing of the Sprint Circuit action. These are highlighted on the event map, which we will upload as soon as it’s ready.
Accessible Facilities
Throughout the event site, there will be disabled toilets available but also the city centre’s regular facilities available. Please find these listed here.
There is are Changing Places toilets available in Coventry Central Library and at Salt Lane Car Park..
Take a break
If you would like to have a sit down from all the action, why not check out the Jubilee Arena on Greyfriars Green. You can enjoy some live music and take in the atmosphere while still being in the heart of the event.
If you fancy somewhere a bit more peaceful, why not take a short walk up to Coventry Canal Basin.
For some other activities within the City Centre, which might also be quieter, check out our Family Fun page.
Car Parking
With numerous car parks closed across the weekend for MotoFest, we would like to highlight a few which will remain open and be close to the action:
- Salt Lane Multi Storey Car Park, CV1 2GY
- West Orchards Car Park, CV1 1FZ
- Railway Station Multi Storey Car Park, CV3 6AJ
